It's really been the longggggest time since I made an entry here.  Let me welcome myself back!  Ha!

This is one weird exam experience I have ever!!  As many of you know, I had an actuarial exam yesterday.  Let me give you a time log of what happened.  The exam was supposed to be 4 hours starting 8:30am.

8:10am - Ro arrived at the exam center and saw Melody

8:11am - Melody rushed over to me and told me that "The exam is cancelled!"

8:12am - Ro thought Mel was joking in the beginning.  But apparently she wasn't.

8:15am - The proctors was telling ppl to wait until 9am to find out what to do because the Society of Actuaries' office wasn't open until 9am.  But she hinted that "there will be NO exam today!"

8:20am - There was about 100+ ppl for this exam at this site.  So, we were all waiting and speculating on the possibilities... (Is the exam stolen? What if the question was leaked?  Wouldn't the ppl taking the exam at another location need to cancel too?)

9:00am - No announcement!  So, Ro started to pull out the notes to read b/c there was nothing else to do even though there was a possibility that we won't have the exam

9:15am - waiting....  but there were coffee and tea to entertain us....

9:45am - still waiting....no sign of any info...

10:00am - ppl were getting bored, but were still waiting...

So, take a guess if the exam was on/off at the end....

10:05am - The head proctor came in FINALLY and annouced that "There will be an exam today!  We will  be making copies of the exams and have the exam when the copies are ready."

10:06am - Began checking in ppl for the exam and ppl were starting to pull out books to do last minute studying again.

10:30am - The check in was done...but we were now waiting for the copies to be ready.

10:45am - We were allowed to go get food since we would likely be still there past lunch time.  They actually served some muffins and bagels to feed us when we were waiting...

11:00am - The copies on the exam questions were ready, but the copies for the exam tables were not done yet.  The proctor manually marked each exam package with numbers.

11:30am - FINALLY!!! This is it...Everything is ready to go.  We can finally take the exam.  Ro was even joking at this time...hahaha...yes, we were only having the exam at the same time with those in California.

11:35am - filling out the "fake scanton" b/c they were copies too!!  Ro was wondering whether this could be fed in the scanton machine for grading!

4:00pm - The exam was finally over!    Everyone could go home finally!

Isn't this strange?  What a long day!  hahahahahahahaha.....

I don't know how I do on the exam...because I am short of time.  But I thank God that I was not worried during this whole morning of waiting in uncertainty because I knew that whatever the outcome would be, I would still take it as is with the peace of God in me.  Amen!  Thanks for everyone who has prayed for me!

A good reminder that I heard today:

"Make a living from what we get, but make a life from what we give"

**********************************************************

Somehow, I do stupid things from time to time.  Here is another one today.

I went down to the cafeteria to heat up my lunch box.  I wanted to buy some fruit from the salad bar as well.  When it's time to pay, I realized that my wallet was not with me.  Uummmm..... Did I bring it with me when I came down?  Did I leave it in the lady's room?  Did I even bring it in to work?.....These questions were all flashing to my mind on my way back to my desk to search for the wallet.  Of course, it wasn't at my desk.  So, I went to look in the lady's room.  No again!  Okay, I walked down again to the cafeteria to ask the guys there.  Nope!  Security Guard.... Nope!!  WHERE IT GOES?  How come I had no recollection of where I had left it at all??

Finally after 2 runs from and to the cafeteria, I came back to my desk to wait for someone to call.  Within 2 min, the person who found it called.  Guess where I left it.........by the salad bar!!!   What a lunch today!!!  Had great exercise walking up and down the stairs though!

Hahahahaha......What am I doing here so early on a Friday morning?.....

I got locked out from my car in front of my house.  Now waiting for the locksmith to come to the rescue...

HOW????

Well, I usually started up my car before I stepped out of my house with the auto ignition.  But this morning, my dad came down earlier and went out to start up my car for me before I got to start the car.  Then I went to my car after putting on my winter gear.  I discovered that the car was already started with a key.  Of course I didn't bring back my "extra" key to the house but instead I left it in the car while I came out to scrap off the ice from my windshield.  This was all normal procedure for me on a snowy/icy day.  But this time, with the extra key sitting on the passenger seat.  The car was locked when I was scrapping off the ice.

I kinda wonder HOW did that happen too.  Then of course it got me thinking, what if I was doing the same thing, that is, starting up the car and stepping out to clean the windshield with the car door close.  I mean, when I literally had only one key with me and the key was used to start up the car.  Ummm.....I don't know....Should I always carry an extra key with me?

Reflection:

I thank God that so far all my car troubles are not big ones.  I thank God that everytime I was locked out, I didn't have to spend too much time on getting it fixed.

Merry Christmas!  Today is truly a day of celebration.  My day started out great with a Christmas/baptismal service to celebrate Jesus' Birthday and my college friend's new birthday.  I had a reunion with many of my friends, some are from out of town, some are actually quite closeby.  But we just don't see each other too often.  It is always only when there is some kind of celebration that we get to catch up b/c everyone has a busy and different schedule.  I very much suspect when I will see them the next time.  It can be soon if the ski trip to Vermont becomes true.  Or else, it'll be until May, I think, before I will see so many of them at once.  Thank you Jesus for giving me these friends that we can always enjoy each other when we do meet up.

The other celebration of the day is the one month old birthday of my relative's daughter, her name is Bella.  She has a lot of hair, unlike myself when I was born.  hahahaha....Well, to me, this is a family reunion.  I get to see my cousins who are from out of town also.  It is always enjoyable to see them.  But it can also be embarassing when all my aunts talk at the same time in a packed restaurant b/c they talk very loudly.  I mean, really LOUD!!  But this has been like that since I know them.  So, not a big surprise.  Oh well, I still enjoy eating with them.  Thank you Jesus for also giving me my family and relatives that I can have fun with.

On our way home from the dinner, my dad raised a question regarding the message he heard from the Christmas celebration at my mom's church last night.  He was trying to debate against the bible from his knowledge of the bible he learned from elementary school.  I thank God that he was asking questions that my mom and I could calmly explain to him without breaking into a verbal fight.  I thank God for my dad that he actually brings up the topic himself to give us chances to tell him about His truth.  I hope that this is a good beginning.

Dear God,

Thank you for this special Christmas you have given me.  I get to meet up with a lot of different ppl in my life.  Though there are changes in our life, but You always keep our hearts close together.  The bond of us will not be diminished because of the distance we are apart.  Thank you Jesus for giving us love.  Thank you Jesus for giving us bonds.  Thank you...thank you...thank you...How great is your love?

Had been too long since I input anything here.  Was I busy?  Yes!  Did I have time?  Kinda also!  Was the computer free to use?  Sometimes.  Then why didn't I sit down to write?  My answer is "My mind went blank!  There was nothing I could reflect on."

Today, I have a very quiet , relaxing but productive day.  As I am preparing for singspiration for worship and praise night, I find that I am actually enjoying the whole process.  From looking up lyrics from websites, typing up stuff to be printed, writing down my order of worship to rehersing in my mind, everything are all making me excited about worshiping God.  Hehee...  But will I be nervous again when I am up there?  I still think so.
